Active thermography helps to evaluate existing components under realistic climate scenarios. The findings can be used, for instance, to evaluate the storage capacity, phase shifts etc. Active thermography, for instance, allows for realistic assessments of a building’s heat protection during summer time. It also allows for more accurate analyses of thermal bridges in view of climate change. Purpose of the work
Does active thermography allow realistic analyses of structural designs? Content of the contribution

When measuring zero pressure for high-rises according to the ISO 9972 standard, it is normally not possible to meet its requirements where the absolute values Δp + and Δp- have to be kept at <5 Pa before and after the measurement. This presentation puts forward a proposal for a zero pressure measurement method that complements this standard and the guideline "Airtightness measurement of high-rise buildings" (see the presentation for BuildAir 2019 Peper / Schnieders).

Purpose of the work
This study is a part of a thesis work that aims to evaluate the error induced by the wind during building pressurization tests performed according to the ISO 9972 method on a reduced model in controlled laboratory conditions. Method of approach

How long do you have to wait after having adjusted the fan during an air permeability measurement until the pressure difference has practically reached its final value? Which parameters determine the required waiting time? Method of approach

Purpose of the work
We investigated whether leak detection methods from the building sector can be customized to find leaks in the paneling of an aircraft's cargo hold. Airtightness values of the cargo area are used as reference to determine how much extinguishing agent has to be carried during the flight. Method of approach

Purpose of the work
What are the benefits of liquid and sprayable seals when it comes to ensuring permanent air tightness of components that are connected on construction sites? What is the cost benefit of spraying compared to adhesive tape that is applied manually? Method of approach
We captured pictures and data during a renovation project and analyzed the quality of the air barrier. Content of the contribution
