AIVC Newsletter, Special Issue COVID-19, February 2021
As already announced in the November issue of the AIVC newsletter, the AIVC board decided to start a project to collect, discuss and disseminate information about COVID‐19 in relation to ventilation and airtightness. A working group was created to define the activities and outputs of the project with the title ‘Ventilation, airtightness and COVID‐19’.
One of the outcomes of the project is the development of a number of questions and answers by working group members to address issues in relation to COVID‐19 and building ventilation in line with most recent scientific understanding. This 2nd special issue of the AIVC newsletter presents a new set of questions and answers provided by the working group. More elaborate answers are available on the FAQ‐section of the AIVC‐website, which received an upgrade, together with the Q&A's addressed in the previous newsletter.
Highlights of this newsletter:
- AIVC Webinar on Building ventilation: How does it affect SARS‐CoV‐2 transmission? - 1 April 2021 (17:00-18:30 CET)
- Frequently Asked Questions developed by AIVC
- REHVA calculator to estimate the effect of ventilation on COVID‐19 airborne transmission
If you have specific questions related to COVID-19 and ventilation, please let us know by writing an email to info@aivc.org.
