Importancia dos ensaios de recepcao das instalacoes de climatizacao

Commissioning plays an essential role for ensuring the quality of any HVAC system. Without detailed commissioning procedures, important deviations from design specifications may exist and not be detected, reducing the system performance and increasing operational costs. This paper describes the measurements performed during commissioning of a HVAC system for a swimming pool delivered as ready by a contractor, showing important deviations that needed correction. The new Portuguese regulations for HVAC systems will require this type of tests as a pre-condition for issuing the use permit for new buildings.
