QUALICHeCK Workshop 16-17 March Lund, Sweden. Evaluation report is now available

The evaluation questionnaire of the QUALICHeCK workshop “Voluntary and Regulatory Frameworks to Improve Quality and Compliance”, 16-17 March 2015, Workshop in Lund, Sweden, was sent out to 55 attendees of the event. The summary of the main outcomes was the result of the feedback from 28 of the participants who filled in the evaluation form. It is now available to download here.

Air Leakage Guide. Meeting the air leakage requirements of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)

New BPIE report released: " Indoor Air Quality, Thermal Comfort and Daylight"

New publication of the EBC Annex 52 / SHC Task 40: ‘Modeling, Design, and Optimization of Net-Zero Energy Buildings’

A new  publication was released in the framework of the International Energy Agency's Solar Heating and Cooling (SHC) Programme and the Energy in Buildings and Communities (EBC) Programme through the joint SHC Task 40/EBC Annex 52: “Towards net zero energy solar buildings”.

IEA EBC releases its annual report of 2014

This report presents an overview of progress made by the International Energy Agency (IEA) Implementing Agreement on Energy in Buildings and Communities Programme, including summaries of new, ongoing and recently completed projects.

The IEA-EBC Programme is an international energy research and innovation programme in the buildings and communities field. It enables collaborative R&D projects among its 26 member countries. It provides high quality scientific reports and summary information for policy makers.

AIVC 2015 Conference - Abstract submission extended to April 15, 2015

The abstract submission deadline at the 36th AIVC Conference: “Effective ventilation in high performance buildings”, to be held in Madrid, Spain 23-24, 2015 has been extended.

The extended deadline for abstract submission is now April 15, 2015. Authors are kindly invited to submit their abstracts through the online submission system available on the Conference website. Authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their abstracts by May 29, 2015. Full papers are due by June 30, 2015.

16-17 March 2015, Workshop, Lund, Sweden

Around 55 participants from 16 countries attended the international workshop on “Ventilation and Airtightness in Buildings : Voluntary and Regulatory Frameworks to Improve Quality and Compliance” which was held in Lund, Sweden on March 16-17, 2015.  

One topic of specific attention was schemes implemented in various countries to reduce errors in ventilation and airtightness input data used in energy performance certificates and to improve the quality of the works. Discussions were based on analyses of lessons learnt from field data.
