In this emergency ventilation investigation, the aim of ventilation is to minimize the influence of contaminative gas upon the occupants.A two-dimensional Cellular Automata model is used to calculate the occupants developing distribution during an emergency event. With the numerical simulation tool, the negative influence on every person has been calculated. The pollutant influence on the people is evaluated by Harbers Law.That method could be a standard for emergency ventilation effect judging, which will help people to find the best ventilation strategy, based on the function of room and the location of the contamination source, once the emergency event happens.
