EBC News June 2019

AIVC 2019 Conference, 15 -16 October 2019, Ghent

Registration is still open for the 40th AIVC conference: “From Energy crisis to sustainable indoor climate – 40 years of AIVC" to be held on October 15-16, 2019 in Ghent, Belgium together with the 8th TightVent and the 6th venticool conferences.

More than 100 papers have been accepted for presentation at the conference.

IEA EBC technical day June 11 in Brussels - Presentations now available

The symposium "Activities of IEA TCP on Energy in Buildings and Communities (EBC TCP)", organised by Dutch Flemish Buildings Physics Association (NVBV) and the Belgian Building Research Institute (WTCB-CSTC-BBRI), took place on the 11th of June 2019 in Brussels, Belgium from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. . During this event activities of various Technical Collaboration Programmes (TCP) of the International Energy Agency were presented with a focus on the energy reduction in the built environment and the reduction of CO2- emissions.

23 May, 2019 - AIVC webinar on kitchen ventilation

AIVC organized the webinar “New Perspectives on Kitchen Ventilation” held on Thursday 23 May 2019 at 16:00-17:30 (CET). The  webinar discussed kitchen venting, including measurements of contaminants that are emitted from cooking, discussions of kitchen exhaust ventilation system performance and guidance on best practices for kitchen ventilation.

The presentations of the AIVC workshop "Quality ventilation is the key to achieving low energy healthy buildings" organized by the AIVC together with the SEAI and held on 27-28 March 2019 in Dublin, Ireland are now available for download.

This 2 day workshop provided a wealth of insights from experiences both nationally and internationally. It informed approach on ventilation as a key component of delivering both new buildings and deep retrofit low energy buildings.
