Airbase

AIRBASE is the Bibliographic Database of the AIVC. It contains publications and abstracts of articles related to energy efficient ventilation. Where possible, sufficient detail is supplied in the bibliographic details for users to trace and order the material via their own libraries. Topics include: ventilation strategies, design and retrofit methods, calculation techniques, standards and regulations, measurement methods, indoor air quality and energy implications etc. Entries are based on articles and reports published in journals, internal publications and research reports, produced both by university departments and by building research institutions throughout the world. AIRBASE has grown and evolved over many years (1979 to present day, over 22000 references and 16000 documents available online). For most of the references, the full document is also available online.

Access to the publications is free of charge.

The energy performance of a building is closely related to the expected or achieved indoorenvironmental quality.
Corgnati S.P., Ansaldi R., Filippi M.
This paper analyzes the existing ventilation flow pattern in a hospital room with two beds. The room is divided by curtains and partition walls, which has advantages for its use and medicalassistance, but is an important obstacle as far as ventilat

Abstract Buildings equipped with state of the art heating/cooling systems and their energeticoptimization require air and radiation temperature value pairs set by controls so, that the value pairsfall within a range considered as comfortable.
Adel Akair, IIona Frohner
The ISO 7730: 2005 introduces three classes of thermal environments (labelled A, B, C) as afunction of the PMV range value gradually decreasing according to the need of a lower dissatisfiedpercentage.

Thermal comfort very frequently affects thermal sensation in such a hot environment as Libya.
Adel Salih Akair, Laszlo Banhidi,
The study was carried out to answer directive 91/2002 of the UE, transcribed in Romaniathrough the law 372/2005, which requires, inter alias, the regular inspection of the installations of airconditioning.Such an inspection requires a coherent sys

The utilization factor is a relative well-known concept used in some simplified calculationmethods as CEN EN-13790, in this regulation this factor depends on the thermal inertia and the ratioheat gains/ heat losses.
